Should not be substituted for normal safety procedures.With great flexible properties, our ladder caps will expand to fit aluminum and fibreglass ladders up to 3-3/16" x 1-3/16". Actual ID 2-15/16 X 1"  If you need help to slide the caps onto the ladder use water to wet the inside of the caps or you can place them in warm water for a few minutes to expand them even further.
